The customer’s concerns originated from the amount of time that was being utilized to install a complicated drive system in their portable rock crushing plant. It had to be integrated into the machine’s hydraulic system, fit in the same footprint and provide easier maintenance than the challenges they were currently experiencing.
WPT offered a solution to address those needs with our 500 PSI hydraulically actuated Type 2 Power Take-off mated with our Hydraulic Clutch Control. WPT’s patented* Python™ Hydraulic Clutch Control (HCC) dealt with those issues because it uses a J1939 connection to read the engines output RPM to engage the PTO at a rate that is most beneficial for both the clutch and the engine. The HCC is an isolated, self-contained hydraulic power unit designed to offer smooth, efficient starts, less stalling of the engine, plus increasing life of engine and PTO. Our solution will simplify field service maintenance, and does not require any external cooling systems.
Working as part of the customer’s team, WPT solved several problems for the impact crusher plant which exceeded the customer’s expectations. Our product solutions not only provided results for existing equipment but for future generations too.
