Lifting the Standards

Aerial-lift-winch

Driving down the road, you may have seen utility lifts casually working on power lines or trimming trees. It is important to have an efficient and reliable utility lift in the construction, tree care, and facility maintenance sectors to get the job done quickly and safely. There are many types of aerial lifts that serve different purposes, but the key focus of this article is compact track lifts. Aerial lifts are usually composed of a platform (driven by wheels or tracks), boom, hydraulic system, and material handling option. The boom is the “arm” that rotates 360 degrees and allows the bucket to be lifted vertically. So often, the bucket is equipped with a “material handling winch” that will give the user an option to transport materials to and from the bucket while airborne.

WPT Power supplies its “material handling winches” to many OEMs who want to include this option for their aerial lifts. Attached to the bucket’s base, WPT Winches provide the user time savings from lowing the bucket to gathering equipment and repositioning. Available in different size capacities, OEMs often choose WPT Power over other suppliers due to the quality, price, and lead times. The WPT Engineering Team works closely with OEMs to meet design specifications to ensure the customer is getting top-of-the-line equipment.
