WPT Power is pleased to announce its most recent hire, Michael Allen, who will join the WPT team as the Director of Engineering. Allen brings over a decade of mechanical engineering design and product development experience to WPT. Most recently, Allen was the Mechanical Design Engineer at the Department of Defense Sheppard AFB location and has his firm, Allen Mechanical Consulting. Prior to that, he was the Senior Product Development Engineer at Amarillo Gear Company.
Allen’s expertise lies in researching, developing, designing, and manufacturing hydraulic components, hydraulic lift systems, and right-angle gear drive systems and components. He has served on the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) Technical Committee, contributing to establishing industry standards. Michael’s comprehension and discernment in engineering have led to a USPTO patent as well as multiple other innovative ideas. His experience, which is not only extensive but also highly relevant to our operations, will be a valuable addition to our family.
