WPT Power Welcomes Zach Skelton

WPT Power is pleased to welcome Zach Skelton to the team. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with 16 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, and project management, Zach brings a strong background in improving manufacturing processes and optimizing plant operations.

Before joining WPT Power, Zach served as Quality Superintendent at Sealed Air in Iowa Park, where he managed quality activities including nonconforming materials, product and process audits, customer complaints, corrective actions, scrap reduction, and technical testing. He also led cross-functional 8D quality projects, including an initiative that reduced Patch Adhesion returns by 87%.

Zach spent more than 14 years at Regal Rexnord in Wichita Falls, where he held a variety of leadership roles as a Manufacturing Engineer and Project Manager. His work included implementing Lean manufacturing improvements, optimizing CNC machining operations, developing fixtures and error-proofing solutions, and improving production flow. Among his projects, he helped reduce CNC cycle times by as much as 70%, setup times by 50% or more, and consolidated manufacturing operations to free up more than 22,000 square feet of plant space for new product lines.

His experience also includes leading major capital and facility projects, quality and supplier improvement initiatives, maintenance programs, and ISO 9001 implementation. Over his career, Zach has successfully executed more than 40 capital expenditure projects, with a 100% approval rate, and has worked across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, Continuous Improvement, and IT functions.
