The 2017 100 Best Companies Group’s list consists of large, medium, and small companies throughout the state. WPT Power ranked twenty-sixth out of 40 in the small employer category.
This competition recognizes the best employers in the state that prioritize creating better workplaces for their employees. It is a statewide survey and awards program implemented in 2006 as a joint project of the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Society for Human Resource Management-Texas State Council (TXSHRM), and the publishers of Texas Monthly, managed by Best Companies Group.
Every company’s assessment is a two-part process. The first step is to evaluate its workplace policies, benefits, operational systems, communication, and overall corporate culture. The second is a survey that measures employees’ overall satisfaction in eight core areas. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final rankings. WPT Power was notified that it is a part of this year’s 11th annual list.
