What is Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding has been around since the 1950s and is a method of controlling soil erosion by planting grass. Hydroseeding machines include a mixing tank with paddles and a pump to pump the slurry mixture onto a prepared surface. The slurry mixture usually comprises ingredients such as grass seed, fertilizer, mulch, and water.
The machine that does the work is called a hydroseeder, and it typically comes in two main types: jet-agitated and mechanical-agitated. Mechanical agitation is the most common type of hydroseeder because it allows more power to mix the slurry in the tank. Mechanical agitation has two main functions: mixing the slurry liquid and pumping the fluid out.
