For example, the above photo is a mechanical scrap shear outfitted with a 16” Low Inertia High-Torque Clutch on the flywheel and a 16” Low Inertia Spring Set Brake on the opposite end of the main shaft. This shear was part of a high-speed feed line setup to cut brass blanks required to produce ammunition at a pace of 180 stokes per minute.
